Granny Gothards International
Description: Amanda Ringelberg is the founder and CEO of Granny Gothards International, a Devon-based producer of artisan ice creams and sorbets. The company is renowned for using natural, high-quality ingredients and has gained recognition both nationally and internationally. Amanda’s career has been rooted in finance, spending her early years working as a management accountant for several major Blue Chip companies, including JCB. Before her marriage, she worked as an international auditor, traveling the globe for Johnson & Johnson and Cable & Wireless. Over 25 years ago, Amanda moved to Devon with her two daughters and continued her finance career, working as a finance manager for a well-known family firm of willow growers and basket makers. It was during this time that she met her best friend, Jean, and together, they founded Granny Gothards. Beyond her business endeavors, Amanda has played a role in the judicial system. She previously served as a Justice of the Peace and continues her involvement as an active member of the HMPS Employment Advisory Board. Amanda is also a Director of Food Drink Devon, a role she thoroughly enjoys as it allows her to promote the exceptional food and drink from her home county. Recognized for her achievements in international trade, she is a UK Government Export Champion. A proud grandmother of three, Amanda is actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives, supporting their sporting interests while also embracing the role of a fun grandma—even taking to a BMX track in Exeter!
